Q:

Why does my TEAK data not move between my Palm OS device and my PC during synchronization?

A:

The most common reason is that the Palm Desktop software has been re-installed to your PC and the TEAK conduit is overwritten.  Simply re-install TEAK over itself.

Q:

Why do my entries move from Palm OS Device to PC, but not back from my PC to my Palm?

A:

All entries (time, expense and auto) as well as any new data (clients, projects, tasks and currencies) move from the Palm OS device to the PC. Only data moves from the PC to the Palm OS device.

Q:

Which files do I need to backup TEAK’s data?

A:

TEAK’s data can be found in the directory where the TEAK application resides. The default location is C:\Program Files\TEAK. There are 9 data files with the extension DAT. They are:

Client.dat
Currency.dat
Pilotcrc.dat
Pilotdel.dat
Project.dat
Task.dat
Timebak.dat
Timeentr.dat
User.dat

Q:

Why does the "break" field fill-in automatically requiring me to reset it back to 0 when I have had no break?

A:

The Break field is filled is because you are using both the Stop Watch as well as the Select Time feature. Ideally you will use one or the other. The Break field is automatically filled when the following occurs:

1. A Time Entry is created.
2. You go to the Select Time screen and enter a Start Time earlier than the current time.
3. From the Time Entry screen you tap on the timer.
4. Upon your return to the Select Time screen you will find that the difference between the Start Time, that you manually entered, and the current time will appear in the Break time field.

Because there may be occasions when you choose to use both time entry methods you will have to "manually" transfer the hours from the Break to the Hours field. To do so simply place a 0 (zero) in the Break field. The graffiti short cut will make this a simple task (tap on the i. on the top right side of the Select Time screen for instructions).
